What Are Photons

There is always darkness in the universe – you’ve probably heard that everything around you is mostly “empty space.” However, what seems to be empty space is actually a symphony of energy composed of minute particles called photons.

Photons are the fundamental building blocks of electromagnetic radiation, encompassing the entire spectrum of light, from invisible radio waves to high-energy gamma rays that pervade the cosmos. They are workhorses sustaining all of life on Earth.

Let’s start with some relatable context to understand the power of photons…

The sun emits most of its radiation energy in the form of visible photons, driving processes such as photosynthesis, regulating the temperature of the planet, and serving as a source of renewable energy. When your skin is exposed to sunlight, the light passes through your tissues and is absorbed by specific organelles, including your mitochondria (helping you produce melatonin and get better sleep!).

Photons carry information that sends instructions to cells. Sun exposure is the best way to facilitate the natural production of vitamin D3 in your body, which plays an important role in regulating calcium and phosphate metabolism for the maintenance of metabolic functions and skeletal health. (1)

What most people don’t know, is that we don’t just absorb and utilize photons for biological processes. We emit them! Human photon emission is not merely a byproduct of metabolism. Researchers are uncovering there is more to the story. By delving into the science of human photon emission, you can fortify your understanding of your interconnectedness with the universe and harness the transformative power of the light within you. The Science of Human Photon Emission

Just as messages from your phone can be invisibly transmitted to another phone halfway across the world from cellular signal towers, you are gifted with an invisible communication system – the language of light. You transmit photons all the time without knowing it, also referred to as ultraweak photon emission (UPE). Don’t let the word “weak” fool you – light is the most efficient and fastest transporter of information in the world!

In our interview with Dr. Konstantin Korotkov (watch above!) he discusses how humans emit photons, and how this emission can be measured with the help of technology. He explains that every cell in our body emits photons, and the level of photon emission can be influenced by various factors and is indicative of an individual's overall energy state. When a person is in a state of high vitality and wellbeing, they are said to emit more photons, while those experiencing energy depletion or stress may emit fewer photons.

The concept of measuring photon emission to assess energy levels is still considered experimental by many in the scientific community. However, there are promising applications of this technology already in use for establishing personalized wellness strategies (learn more about how I use scalar waves to reprogram, realign, and regenerate here!). Measuring photon emission before and after implementation allows practitioners to track changes in the energy field and assess the effectiveness of the protocol.

Scientists are increasingly interested in a phenomenon called delayed luminescence, which is the faint glow that human cells and tissues emit after they have been exposed to light. This glow is so faint that it can only be detected with special equipment, but it has the potential to be used as a new way to diagnose diseases. (3)

Imagine shining a flashlight on your hand for a few seconds and then turning it off. Even though the flashlight is no longer shining, your hand will continue to “glow” for a very short time. This is because some of the light energy from the flashlight has been stored in your skin and is now being released slowly. Having this knowledge can really help dash doubts that you are a being of light! 

That’s just what’s happening on the surface. There’s even more magic happening at the DNA level…

Russian biophysicist Dr. Pjotr Garjajev and researcher Dr. Vladimir Poponin conducted groundbreaking research on the vibrational state of DNA. Poponin put DNA in a tube and beamed a laser through it. When the DNA was removed, the laser light continued spiraling on its own, as if through a crystal. This effect is called the ‘Phantom DNA Effect’. Their research led to the notion that human DNA is a biological internet superior to the artificial one. This idea is controversial and research about it is often scrutinized and retracted. (4)

German physicist Fritz-Albert Popp discovered that the DNA of living cells emits and absorbs photons, leading him to conclude that humans are beings of light. Popp coined the term "biophotons" to describe the communication between living DNA, suggesting it can communicate not only within the body but also with other bodies and life forms, influencing biological processes and health states. (5)

Let’s look at the brain as another example of our inner light (it will give new meaning to having a “light bulb moment!”). 

Imagine the brain as a vast network of interconnected neurons, each emitting information in the form of photons. These photons crisscross the brain, creating a dense field of information. Each point within this field represents a convergence of trillions of bits of information, simultaneously accessible to any charged particle in the brain. This suggests that the brain's processing power lies not just in individual neurons but in the collective integration of information across the entire network. This intricate interplay of photons and charged particles creates a dynamic and ever-changing information landscape within the brain, providing the foundation for our thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Some researchers have proposed that photons play a role in mediating the influence of energy fields. Your energy field (also known as biofield, auric field, or morphogenetic field) is composed of multidimensional electromagnetic energy. It is the blueprint for consciousness (read more about this in my Wholistic Guide To Consciousness!). All matter and consciousness have energy fields composed of Partiki units – an electromagnetic energy unit which is the smallest building block of matter (there is so much more information I want to relay about this – stay tuned for a future blog explaining “Partiki Grids” and “Keylon Codes!”).

The speed of light, the coherent nature of photons, and their ability to encode information from DNA suggest that they could be a medium for transmitting information from your energy field. Rupert Sheldrake, a biologist and philosopher, proposed the theory of morphic resonance, which suggests that all living things have a memory of the past, which is passed down from generation to generation. He suggests photons carry the information from one generation of organisms to the next. (7)

As you can see, emitting and absorbing photons is essential for our biology and consciousness. It connects all of us. I hope this knowledge can help motivate you to optimize your photon emission. By cultivating practices that enhance photon emission, such as meditation, breathwork, mindfulness, and exposure to sunlight, you can optimize cellular function, boost brain function, and raise your vibrational frequency.
