Intuition is one of your most powerful Divine gifts! When you tap into it, this “inner knowing” acts as a guiding light on your Divine path. With practice and conscious intention, the spark of your intuitive knowing can be tended into a brilliant flame that illuminates even the darkest corners of uncertainty.

In this blog, I’m sharing 11 of the most powerful ways you can enhance your intuition. Each of these action items can be incorporated into your daily routine right now! I want you to be able to experience the incredible intuitive abilities you’ve always had within so you can make confident decisions that will lead you toward your best life.

 

 

Intuition Is Your Best Friend!

You can consider your intuition your best friend because it gives you unfiltered access to the truth. You know that bestie in your life you can trust to tell you what they really think? Your inner voice will tell you what you need to know so you can align with your highest good.

Intuition helps you navigate your life with valuable Divine guidance that improves your ability to make good choices and avoid mishaps. It will override your personal bias so you can stay open-minded in all situations! The more you tune in and become familiar with your intuition, you will discover the little voice within has profound and valuable things to share. 

 

 

11 Ways To Enhance Your Intuition

From time to time, access to your intuition may seem strained – especially during times of great stress or overwhelm. Of course, it’s times of turbulence when you need intuitive guidance the most! The good news is, you can turn up the volume of your intuition with conscious intention.

Here are 11 ways you can enhance your intuition so you have a crystal clear channel to Divine guidance anytime:

1. Maintain Hydration

The human body is 70% water and your brain is 90% water! Water can help you self-regulate your emotions and neutralize your energy with negative ions. (1) Water flows when there is enough of it. If you’re dehydrated, your blood becomes more concentrated and mineral balance is disrupted so you experience symptoms like headache, muscle cramps, and dizziness.

Staying sufficiently hydrated helps your blood flow efficiently, carrying essential nutrients to the cells in your body. In a similar way, meeting your hydration needs boosts your natural flow of creativity, cognition, and intuition. When your body is taken care of, your intuition can come through more clearly. Aim to drink 100 ounces or about 3 liters of water a day for proper hydration.

2. Eliminate Sugar

Over time, the excess consumption of sugar will take a toll on your body. Studies have shown that a diet high in added sugar is linked to inflammation and candida overgrowth in the body (leading to symptoms like brain fog, depression, muscle aches, numbness, skin issues, yeast infections, digestive upset, and hormonal imbalances). (2)

When your body is inflamed, your ability to tap into your intuition and allow it to flow freely is hindered. However, making small changes in your habits can bring about a massive improvement in your health. One study found that reducing sugar intake improved inflammatory blood markers by almost 30%. (3)

3. Decrease Caffeine

Caffeine is a fast-acting stimulant derived from a natural insecticide in plants (let that fact help you lose your appetite for it!). The effects of caffeine cause an increase in gastric acid production and stress the body’s adrenal glands. A serving of caffeine has a half-life of up to 5 hours. So, your morning cup of coffee is affecting your system for 10 hours or more.

Remember that caffeine is an artificial source of “energy.” Heart connection is an essential key to intuitive clarity and caffeine increases your heart rate to an abnormal level to give you that “alert” feeling. Getting quality sleep, hydrating with pure water, and fueling your body with healthy food will provide a real, more sustained source of energy to help enhance your intuition.

4. Abstain From Alcohol

Alcohol is a highly addictive, toxic substance that wreaks havoc on almost every system of the body. Besides the damaging physical effects, being under the influence of even one serving of alcohol slows mental reaction time and clouds judgment. Many people turn to alcohol as a means of stress relief or escape. However, those effects are an illusion. What it really does is create a disconnect and lower your vibrational frequency.

Alcohol intake makes it extremely difficult to hear the voice within that longs to lovingly support you through life’s trials. If you are accustomed to alcohol being part of social events, try switching to sparkling water or other “mocktails.” Do the breathing exercise mentioned in item 5 before you socialize and you’ll be able to enjoy the festivities with a healthy body, clear mind, and amplified intuition!

5. Just Breathe

Breathwork is one of the simplest, yet most impactful practices you can commit to. Breathing with conscious intention helps you release stress, detoxify your body, and activate different areas of your brain that haven’t been getting enough oxygen. When your brain gets the oxygen it needs, you will be able to make decisions that are in your best interest because your intuition will be loud and clear.

Breath connection exercises like alternate-nostril breathing are extremely balancing and healing. Try this now! Slowly inhale through the right nostril while closing off the left nostril with your right ring finger. Then slowly exhale through the left nostril by closing off the right nostril with your right thumb. Repeat for 12 cycles, eventually ending with an exhale on the right side. How alert and refreshed do you feel?

6. Walk It Out

Going for a walk has been found to realign the right and left brain hemispheres. Exercise is also a top detox pathway that supports lymphatic flow. If you can go for a 30 minute walk in nature every day, you will enjoy so many benefits including a grounded connection to mother nature. That 30 minute distraction-free time is a perfect opportunity to practice tapping into your intuition!

7. Meditation

Meditation is an incredible tool you can implement to clarify your purpose and elevate your consciousness. Meditation is linked with a reduction in feelings of depression, anxiety, and even physical pain. (4) Yoga or other moving meditations bring you back to conscious awareness of your physical body which also helps amplify your intuition.

Dedicating just 15 minutes a day to a meditation practice can improve your health, reduce stress levels, and restore your sense of wellbeing. When you stick to this healthy habit – you will see significant improvements in your intuitive abilities.

8. Pay Attention To Symbols 

When you’re open to receiving signs from the Universe, you may notice messages appearing for you in the form of signs and symbols. The more you pay attention to these messages, the more you will learn to trust your intuition. You might notice recurring numbers or run into someone who just crossed your mind that you haven’t seen in years.

Whatever you consider your sign or symbol, know that you can trust the gut feelings you experience when you encounter it. The Universe loves and supports you – it’s your partner in life. So remember to slow down and look for everyday miracles!

9. Spend Time Journaling

Self-reflection or journaling opens an internal dialogue that is a direct link to your intuition. Letting your thoughts flow onto a page by engaging in personal inquiry and writing whatever comes to mind is incredibly supportive of your intuitive connection. You might be surprised by what your inner guide has to tell you by putting pen to page (or fingers to keyboard!). Looking back at old journal entries can also provide some interesting intuitive insights that you can apply to current life events!

10. Establish And Maintain Healthy Boundaries

Nurturing your connection with loved ones can help you reflect and strengthen your connection to your intuition. However, the opposite can also be true when you have a relationship that brings lots of negative or even toxic energy into the mix. Pay attention and identify what people, places, or activities drain your energy and create a state of emotional imbalance for you.

Set healthy boundaries and minimize your contact with negative people or places. If you can’t avoid the negative influence completely, it can help to be proactive with energetic protection. Visualize yourself being surrounded by a pure white protective light before you encounter the person or place and take time to clear your energy field after the encounter.

11. Trust Your Gut Feeling

Sometimes it is a subtle whisper, and other times it is loud and urgent so it cannot be ignored. Your intuition wants you to be protected and reach your full potential. The more you consciously tune into and trust your intuitive gifts, the easier it will become to hear it.
